Learning Theory- Conditions of Learning

Use literature to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of learning theory and a world of practice-a specific instructional setting-
You will then apply one or more learning theories to this same instructional setting- You must develop a learning challenge or problem (Mine is: Foreign
language learners) (i-e- working with, dealing with adults lacking requisite knowledge to move forward, professional development for working professionals,
etc-) and apply one or more empirically based instructional practices to this instructional setting with the learning challenge, aligning and explaining the
learning theory underpinnings for the practice( Mine her is Situated learning) – The purpose of this assignment is help you develop a critical understanding of
a theory and its application in a relevant instructional setting-

In your current, relevant instructional setting:

1- Identify an instructional focus (i-e- working with students with Spath language learners, dealing with adults lacking requisite knowledge to move
forward, professional development for working professionals etc-)

2- Now, identify performance standards that would be acceptable to you and to those with whom you are working-

3- Determine what would be appropriate instructional strategies to address the area of focus and achieve the performance standards-

4- Apply one or more learning theories that align with appropriate instructional practices for this instructional setting- Articulate instructional practices,
anchoring them with appropriate, explanatory theory. Not all theories work with all instruction- Theory and practice should align- This is an opportunity to
explicitly seek to align instruction with theory in a setting of your choosing-
